Tez, the payments service developed by Google for India, will now allow users to pay utilities and other bills from the app, the company announced today.
The app, which allows payments from a user’s bank account to another bank account, will now support payments to over 80 businesses and organizations, TechCrunch reported today, including national and state electrical systems, gas, water, and TV/Internet services.
For bills that reoccur every month, like utilities, the app will also send push notifications to users regarding the upcoming payment. The app also supports multiple payment accounts, TechCrunch reported today.
Tez, which was launched in September 2017, had 12 million users as of December 2017. Take a look at the app, including its updated bill payment feature, in the video below.
