Are you interested in innovations within ATM integrated payments? Then join a new forum dedicated to the topic that’s organized by the ATM Industry Association’s International Payments Forum.
The new Forum, called the ATM Integrated Payments Standards Forum, will consist of payment expert volunteers that will be tasked with publishing industry best practices recommendations that enable integrated payments through ATMs.
On the new Forum’s to-do list is to “develop an open standards based approach to achieving broad acceptance of alternative and nontraditional payments through ATMs,” announced the association.
Practically speaking, this means the group will focus on:
1. Software and hardware considerations;
2. Determining appropriate financial services for ATMs; and
3. How to support new payments applications such as mobile and card-less transactions.
