Q4 is the period for closing business, budgeting and, of course, time for Halloween and predictions. In fact, last week Gartner announced his known “predictions” on the top 10 technologies and trends that will be strategic for most organizations in 2011. The Gartner’s team presented their findings during Gartner Symposium/ITxpo, being held in Florida through October 21.
According to Gartner, a strategic technology is one with the potential for significant impact on the enterprise in the next three years. Factors that denote significant impact include a high potential for disruption to IT or the business, the need for a major dollar investment, or the risk of being late to adopt. In this post I’d like to discuss the “real” impact of implementing these technologies on the Banking Industry (in blue the Gartner predictions).
Apologies for the extra click but otherwise I’d been too long for a post, as a tradeoff, you’re welcome to re-use the slides.
