Facebook Just Ate Your Customer

This won’t come as any surprise to Bank Innovation members who delve into their website traffic data: Facebook is gobbling up internet traffic.

Numbers out last week show that Facebook now owns more than 24% of all page views online. That translates into 10.2% of web visits. Let me repeat that: 10.2% of visits to websites are to facebook.com. This far exceeds traffic to Google.
These numbers are staggering. Forget about opening a branch in a Walmart — go live on Facebook now.
