APIs from Xignite, which provides back-end data integration much as Stripe provides payments integration, are powering, well, a lot of financial services ventures.
Today, blogger Jim Bruene (@netbanker) tweeted that Xignite APIs are used by 40 startups that have previously presented at Finovate. Xignite lists a total of 55 companies as clients on its website. That list includes: Betterment, Wealthfront, Personal Capital, Yodlee, Oracle, SAS, Sungard, Charles Schwab, Navy Federal Credit Union, TD Ameritrade, Brinks, GE, and Starbucks.
Put simply, wow. We don’t know of a fintech data integration company with a larger client list.
The company announced its newest API, on the Finovate stage in London today. Called FactSet Fundamentals, the API is “the first REST-based API to provide accurate and trusted historical financials, fundamentals, earnings and more across more than 170 global exchanges,” according to Finovate.
FactSet Fundamentals joins more than 40 other APIs for financial services in Xignite’s API library.
With the roster of clients the company is showcasing, Xignite deserves to be mentioned along with companies like Stripe that are powering innovators behind the scenes across financial services and beyond.
