Bank Innovation 2012, the upcoming industry conference on innovative banking products and strategies, has unveiled a novel Twitter-based session that is now a part of the formal event agenda.
Called the “Organic Online/Offline Twitter Ideastorm,” the session will engage attendees in a good, old-fashioned brainstorm, but additionally use Twitter to air ideas live, thereby including insights from well beyond the Bank Innovation 2012 General Session room. The end result will be a brainstorming sessions that is at once live and virtual.
“We’re aiming for great dynamism at Bank Innovation 2012, and the Ideastorm is just one of the innovations we are introducing to foster greater engagement and better results at the event,” said JJ Hornblass, chairman, Bank Innovation 2012. “We’re calling it an Ideastorm for a reason.”
Bank Innovation 2012 and the Ideastorm will take place at the Twitter hashtag #BankInnovation and at @BankInnovation.
The Ideastorm is just a part of an agenda that will expose attendees to the future of banking. Bank Innovation 2012 will take place March 28-29 at the W San Francisco and is designed specifically for bankers and financial services professionals involved in the innovation channels of banking: online and mobile banking and alternative payments. The event is presented by Bank Innovation, the leading blog and social network for bank innovation professionals.
Speakers will come from a wide range of enterprises, from traditional institutions like ING Direct, Wells Fargo and MasterCard to fresh startups like PerkStreet, ZestCash and Simple to crucial technology providers like Fiserv, Infosys and Yodlee. The cumulative result will be a deep dive into the future of banking for professionals who want to take advantage of some of the fastest-growing products and segments in financial services.
Bank Innovation 2012 is an invitation-only event. Industry professionals can request an invitation at www.bankinnovation.info.
