Three new apps have recently been added to the Intuit App Center, and they point to the advancing sophistication being offered to the small-office/home-office (SOHO) commercial banking market.
There three new apps are:
- Lettuce — an inventory and order management app;
- Exact Online — a cloud-based business management app for small manufacturers and wholesalers; and
- Map Business Online — a location-data analysis tool for QuickBooks.
The prices for these apps range from $25 to $299 per month.
David Gerbino, an assistant vice president at Sterling National Bank, recently wrote that the SOHO market will grow in importance to bankers in 2014:
I am predicting that the SOHO market will begin to get the attention it deserves from banks. Barlow Research predicts that the market potential revenue from fees and deposits in the SOHO segment is $36.2 billion. No other segment has this potential.
The Intuit App Center, because of Intuit’s focus on the small-business segment, offers a good window into the types of apps and services needed to serve this market.
