A new chapter has begun for AccountsRecovery.net, Bank Innovation’s sister site.
AccountsRecovery.net is the new name for the site formerly known as CollectionTechnology.net. The name change reflects the growing evolution of CollectionTechnology.net’s content and community from just “collections” to an online community for all AR professionals, in addition to third-party execs. AccountsRecovery.net accurately reflects that expanded community.
In addition to the new name at this site, the site’s event, the Collection Technology Summit, will also transform into the Accounts Recovery Summit in 2011.
In 1998, CollectionTechnology.net’s original iteration, Collection Technology News magazine, was launched to report on the burgeoning world of accounts receivable technology. In fact, back then, Collection Technology News was more evangelist than information source, because so few ARM professionals even knew which relevant technologies existed, let alone how they worked.
CollectionTechnology.net has remained in the forefront of industry information and ideas in the 12 years since. This site is now a dynamic social network that boasts more than 2,300 members and generates about 200 activities – blog posts, forum comments, group members, etc – each week. Every month, the site welcomes visitors from more than 70 countries worldwide; nearly 1,000 industry professionals visit from India alone. There are more than a few Bank Innovation members who are members of AccountsRecovery.net, too.
The fact is that CollectionTechnology.net is actively used today for debt portfolio transactions and other non-technology endeavors. Appropriately, the site’s coverage and network has advanced in kind. AccountsRecovery.net is continuing to keep a keen eye on ARM technologies, but it is also continuing to foster the diverse community that started to gain traction on CollectionTechnology.net.
AccountsRecovery.net will continue to be acutely focused on ARM technology (such focus has generated the creation of one industry standard and the start of another, parenthetically). The Accounts Recovery Summit in January will also continue to present on industry technology. And the site will continue to allow the ARM community to take root online.
