Are mobile banking customers more engaged with their banks than fellow customers?
At least two financial institutions seem to think so.
When SunTrust Banks Inc. conducted a mobile analysis study about a year ago, one truth became evident: Those customers who chose to do banking through their mobile devices were also the same customers that transacted most often across all channels, Ginger Schmeltzer, senior vice president of digital channel management at SunTrust, told Bank Innovation.
U.S. Bank, for another, mentioned it has also noticed a m-banking engagement trend among its customers.
Mobile banking customers tend to have “deeper relationships” with their banks and tend to be “more engaged” with banks of the products they do have, Howell “Mac” McCullough, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at U.S. Bancorp., told Bank Innovation.
