Anyone who thinks that the recent news of Citi and Wells repaying their TARP funds is winding down the government bailout of our financial sector should read this article. Just as one of the reasons Goldman prospered is that we (the taxpayer) paid them $13 billion, many of the big banks which are paying the government back are doing it with the government’s own money. The shell game continues…
