INV Fintech, the sister accelerator to this site, announced its third cohort of startups today. The five companies were chosen from among a wide array of applications from across the globe.
Here are the five companies of Class 3 of INV Fintech:
- CoverHero is an intelligent insurance roboadvisor that helps users manage, understand, and buy insurance. Coverhero looks at a user’s insurance needs, recommends products, and helps shop for deals.
- EMTransfer is a cloud-based service to help real estate agents, buyers, and brokers securely document, collect, and disburse earnest money for property purchases.
- Finspace helps businesses securely and efficiently share financial data and documents with financial service providers like banks, lenders and investors.
- Surong360 provides credit to students by leveraging alumni of the student’s institution. The company is located in China and is looking to make inroads into the American market.
- Taplend connects borrowers with credit from either their contacts, who are able set repayment terms, or traditional lenders. Loans happen in 15 minutes or less and the process is completed on mobile devices.
The companies, chosen after a comprehensive review process that involved INV’s partners, touch on a broad array of emerging trends in the fintech space, such as new models for underwriting, peer-to-peer lending, and secure document sharing and management.
INV is a global, virtual accelerator — which is what allows INV to host companies from not just Silicon Valley, but Europe, Australia, and China, as is the case in Class 3. The startups will be mentored by INV and its partners, which include Fiserv and U.S. Bank. INV startups also demo at a members-only event that is held in conjunction with Bank Innovation 2017 in San Francisco in March 2018. A further cohort of Associates, junior members of the class, will be announced soon.
Applications are being accepted for the next class here.
