Playing off “fanny pay” humor, ANZ, the New Zealand bank, dropped three new “pay by whatever” ads yesterday that are just hysterical.
The series urges consumers to “pay using your phone with ANZ,” and each ad shows an, er, unconventional way to use a phone for payment. The idea is to convince consumers that “You’ll be taking it for granted in no time.” Interestingly, one ad showcases contactless payments while the cellular network is already engaged.
Here are the ads, which we are nominating for a Top Banking Ad of 2016 award.
