Online stock brokerage firm E-Trade Financial Corporation opened trading in bitcoin futures from the CME Group.
The New York-based E-trade Financial also launched trading of bitcoin futures of CBOE last month.
According to its website, trading of bitcoin futures from CME Group opened yesterday evening with an intra-day initial margin requirement set at 80%.
Both CBOE and CME were granted approval to list the cryptocurrency futures from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) earlier last month.
Today as of 10 AM ET, bitcoin is trading at $14,964.51, up 7.48%, according to CoinBase.
