EXCLUSIVE — Ian Putter, head of unified finance development and innovation at Standard Bank, Africa’s largest bank, has joined the speaker roster for Bank Innovation 2018, which will take place March 5 to 6 in San Francisco.
Ian Putter is currently running a number of key finance projects for the Group Finance function. Putter, who started his career as an Economist, joined Standard Bank in 1996 in the Treasury Audit Department. He participated in the original SAP General Ledger implementation at the bank, and later became the Global CFO of the Global Markets business for the Corporate and Investment bank “CIB.” After spending two years as the Head of Africa Finance Integration, and traveling to nearly all of the Standard Bank franchises in the African continent, his role at the bank evolved into his current position as Head Unified Finance Development and Innovation.
At Bank Innovation, he will be speaking on the panel “Consortiums, Token Offerings and the Prospects for Blockchain Commercialization.” On this panel, he will be joined by Marley Gray, principal architect at Azure blockchain engineering for Microsoft and Dan Rosen, Founder and General Partner at Commerce Ventures and Tim Swanson, Founder and Director, Research at Post Oak Labs.
