Payments between individuals and companies will be a lot more mobile in the future, according to consumers.
Turns out, the majority of consumers (who have grown used to being paid via direct deposit or electronic transfer anyway) believe that future payments between consumers and corporations will be exchanged via mobile app, according to a survey released recently by B2B invoicing and payments provider Viewpost.
This statement was supported by 52% of the 1,000 consumers surveyed. Most of these consumers (83%) also believe the death of the check is coming somewhere within the next 20-odd years.
Consumers are also growing more and more comfortable with biometric technologies and voice control within finance and banking, according to the survey, with 50% of respondents agreeing that fingerprint technology will become a mainstream method to receive and send payments within the next 10 years.
Viewpost will announce more results from the survey next week.
