Add HSBC to list of major banks that have partnered with payments company PayPal.
Today, HSBC announced that as a result of its partnership PayPal, the bank will now let its global corporate customers make payments to beneficiaries using their PayPal accounts.
In a statement released today, Tom Halpin, global head of payments in global liquidity and cash management at HSBC, said:
Our collaboration with PayPal will significantly expand the payments network accessible to our clients through HSBC, allowing them to send payments to a much wider range of counterparties in a fast and efficient manner.
PayPal has similar partnerships in place with other major banks like Bank of America, Citi and JPMorgan Chase.
