London-based brokerage service provider TP ICAP is joining forces with Amazon Web Services to build AI-driven solutions as well as data and analytics services, according to a Dec. 3 release from AWS.

AWS will develop an AI and innovation lab for TP ICAP and the companies will work together on tools specifically designed for TP ICAP’s operations, a spokesperson for the provider told Bank Automation News.

“We have developed automated regulatory governance reviews with Amazon Bedrock,” the TP ICAP spokesperson said. “This has seen us reduce [regulatory] review times from months to minutes.” Bedrock is AWS’ generative AI foundation model.

AWS engineers will work with TP ICAP tech teams to develop solutions, including TP ICAP’s digital trading platform Fusion, the spokesperson said.

Demand is high for AWS’ cloud and gen AI services among investment and trading service providers, an AWS spokesperson told BAN.

Nasdaq, Bridgewater Associates and HSBC are all using AWS’ services to optimize operations, the spokesperson said.

MeridianLink enlists Shastic for workflow automation

Costa Mesa, Calif.-based banking software company MeridianLink is teaming up with San Francisco-based AI firm Shastic to integrate Shastic’s workflow automation platform into MerdianLink’s marketplace to streamline operations for banks and credit unions.

The integration was completed before Shastic’s Dec. 2 announcement, a Shastic spokesperson told BAN.

The collaboration will simplify banks’ use of AI agents for consumer-focused processes, the spokesperson said, including:

  • Account opening;
  • Collections; and
  • Lending.

“This partnership lists Shastic within MeridianLink’s partner marketplace, removes friction from the customer experience and empowers MeridianLink to utilize Shastic’s platform to connect fintechs,” the spokesperson said.

The specific banks benefiting from the platform were not disclosed. However, Shastic in the Dec. 2 release claims more than 50 clients in the financial services sector employ it. Some of MeridianLink’s financial partners include:

  • Credit Plus;
  • Experian; and
  • Finastra.
