NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Digital banking service provider LemonadeLXP won the inaugural Demo Challenge at Bank Automation Summit U.S. 2024.

Nine financial services technology startups showcased their latest innovations with technology leaders and executives at the March 19 event.

The Ottawa, Canada-based company provides custom technology learning modules for internal and external-facing capabilities, John Findlay, chief executive of LemonadeLXP, said during his presentation.

Companies are always looking to cut costs, and LemonadeLXP helps banks get the maximum return on their technology spend by training their staff and customers on new technology, Findlay said.

The startup’s 90 clients include TD Bank, U.S. Bank and Boeing Employees Credit Union, according to the company’s website. LemonadeLXP has revenue of more than $7 million, Findlay said.

As the company grows, it is expanding services to other areas, including mortgages, insurance and manufacturing, Findlay said.

Runner-up in the Demo Challenge was Palo Alto, Calif.-based Jerry, which offers vehicle financing solutions. The other participants were: Beforepay, Eucloid, Insait, Instnt, Lama AI, Stratyfy and Synapze.

After an audience vote narrowed the field to two, final judging was done by Stephanie Foster, managing director of ThinkTECH Accelerator at ICBA; Pam Kaur, head of bank technology at BankTech Ventures; and Shakir Ullah, associate professor of finance at Fayetteville State University.
