Transactions: Savana, Capco to collaborate on UX

Financial software company Savana is partnering with management consultancy Capco to help banks with improving user experience (UX). The partnership allows banks to digitize their cores and implement APIs for process automation and faster product launches, according to a Savana release. “We can help banks to unlock next-generation, customer-centric banking operations and to thrive in today's competitive landscape,” Mike Wolfel, chief executive at Savana, said in the release. 4 credit unions choose Access Softek Digital banking provider Access Softek announced Wednesday that four credit unions have chosen its enterprise solution Access Digital, which offers remote check depositing, biometric authentication and proactive fraud controls, and integrates with Synergent , the credit unions’ core provider, according to a release. The credit unions are: Fall River, Mass.-based, $259 million Fall River Municipal Credit Union ; [caption id="attachment_220448" align="alignright" width="300"] Image by CanStock [/caption] Ogdensburg, N.Y.-based, $206 million St. Lawrence Federal Credit Union ; Newport, Maine-based, $155 million Sebasticook Valley Federal Credit Union ; and Hamburg, N.Y.-based, $123 million Meridia Community Credit Union . “We are excited to take this step forward as continued convenience for our members and their ability to access their accounts with the credit union wherever they are,” Matthew Schondek, president and chief executive of Fall River Municipal Credit Union, said in the release. Santa Cruz County Bank taps Corserv’s tech Payment card issuer Corserv has been chosen by Santa Cruz, Calif.-based Santa Cruz County Bank to implement its virtual card support for businesses’ ePayables, automated credit decisioning, and sales and servicing portals. The $1.7 billion bank is looking to offer additional digital features for its credit card program with the selection of Corserv’s payment-cards-as-a-service-APIs (PCaaSA) platform. “Corserv’s program allows us to participate in the credit decisions for our clients which gives us a competitive advantage,” Krista Snelling, president and chief executive of Santa Cruz County Bank, said in a release. Bank of the West partners with Extend for virtual card platform San Francisco-based Bank of the West has selected spend management platform Extend to assist with the bank’s virtual card capabilities. The $94.5 billion FI plans to implement card features to help small- to medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with virtual cards capable of payment and expense tracking and employee budgeting, according to a release. The card technology will allow SMBs to create and send virtual cards while managing recurring expenses and attaching purchase orders and receipts to transactions to help with forecasting. “Using Extend and their Bank of the West cards, businesses can create, distribute and manage virtual cards to pay vendors, empower employees, track spending and more,” Dominique Fracchia, managing director at Bank of the West, said in the release. Bank of the West was acquired in December 2021 by BMO Harris Bank in a $16.3 billion deal. Southern Bank of Tennessee taps Teslar to automate systems Mt. Juliet, Tenn.-based Southern Bank of Tennessee tapped Teslar Software last week to upgrade its automation efficiencies and improve its lending strategy. The $400 million bank will use Teslar’s software to increase its portfolio by more than 10% each year, according to a bank release. “Teslar’s ability to quickly create comprehensive, up-to-date reports will save our lending operations team up to one week per month of manual work,” Justin Cary, president and chief credit officer of Southern Bank of Tennessee, said in the release. “With Teslar, our team will spend less time on manual operations and more time streamlining information to the lenders that will allow them to work more efficiently.” Southern Bank of Tennessee will reduce costs and increase business in the area of construction lending using Teslar’s construction management module to streamline operations, according to the release. In addition, the bank plans to leverage Teslar’s secure document upload portal and exceptions module.
